The Calendar shows iconic landmarks of the City of Hull, shot from a fashion point of view.  This is paving the way to showcase the beginning of the celebrations of Hull being the City of Culture 2017.

I would like to thank Steve at V Richardson & Sons Ltd, who has kindly sponsored this Calendar and has done an amazing job, i cannot recommend this company enough for their professionalism and quality.

For making the images possible, i would like to thank Kitty for her modelling skills and her professional manner through gale force winds and icy temperatures, as most of these images were shot in the Winter months.  I would also like to thank Micci who edited and photoshopped these images ready to be compiled into this Calendar.

Lastly, Nick from Hull Mag for his continued support by running up a few prototypes to enable me to take these to meetings to secure my distribution.

Thanks to all the retailers for all their support in stocking my product.

On sale from this weekend (6th September) to coincide with Freedom Festival.

Post by Sir Roger Moore Net.
A letter with copies of Hull Mag and selected photos are now on their way to Sir Roger Moore.

It is such a huge pleasure to see O-Ten on the Sir Roger Moore fan site and all the great feedback i am receiving, even receiving complimentary messages as far afield as the USA.

All this great feedback has made all the research and hard work that all concerned put into this worth while.  It is nice to be appreciated.

The Saint photo shoot.

Hey all!

The Saint shoot is a tribute to the cult ITC TV show starring Roger Moore from the 1960's.  It has been in the planning for 2 months and i was lucky enough to have the actual car that Roger drove in the show.  The car is a Volvo P1800, reg No: 71 DXC aka ST1.

Everything was set for the shoot, however, one week before the shoot happened i had a major epileptic seizure at the top of the stairs, i fell from the top to the bottom during my seizure.  I ended up in hospital for 2 days.  I had broken a few of my bones between my shoulder blades and neck, so serious this was, there was even talk of neurosurgery. They said i must have a saint looking over me as i was close to ending up permanently in a wheelchair.

I never thought i would be able to fulfil this shoot, everybody suggested that i cancelled it.  However, i pride myself in being a professional and the show must go on under any circumstance, no matter how much pain i was in during the shoot.

I did the job and i am exceptionally happy with the results :)

I did over do it on the day, thus i had a relapse for 2 days, so now i am just going to be taking it easy for a while, if i ever know what this means lol.

I hope you love the photos as much as i do.  If you haven't seen any of the original The Saint shows, i highly recommend them!  They are still available to buy from Amazon as box sets.

Here is a link to the dedicated page on my website - The Saint.

Enjoy,
Chris xx

2015 Calendar - Red Riding Hull!

It does sound nuts at the beginning of 2014 to put together a calendar for 2015.  However this is now completed and I am very happy with the results :)

A big thank you to Micci Lou for photo editing and photoshopping the remaining 7 photos to add to the photoshopped pics that Ziplodocus did.  Last but certainly not least my muse Kitty, who is Red Riding Hull throughout the calendar.

Below is the front cover.

Red Riding Hull shows a few of the key landmarks of the City of Hull.  Red Riding Hull character symbolises the poppy, never forgetting the past as we progress forward.

The calendar will be available to buy later in the year.

We at O-Ten would like to wish you a very Happy New Year! We hope it will be as prosperous for you as we are hoping it will be for O-Ten too.

The latest project O-Ten is putting together is for a recreation of the 1960's series The Saint.  So very soon we shall be on the look out for a male model who could fill the shoes of Roger Moore as Simon Templar for this photo shoot.  So if you know of anybody who would like to be Simon Templar for the day please get in touch, we love to discover fresh new talent!

Also O-Ten is looking for any aspiring models who would like stunning photos for their portfolio.  If you book for more than one shoot O-Ten will give you a fantastic discount!

O-Ten is open to all kinds of photography, whether you would like a family photo, a gift for a friend, or something more edgy, so please get in touch to book your shoot, we look forward to hearing from you :)

Happy New Year!

Full page feature and interview in November's The Journal. They are £3.00 from Tescos and other leading stores in and around Hull.  Thank you to Natalie Murphy for a great feature.  Pleased The Journal found in their archives a photo of me with Andy.  Just off to the Post Office to post Andy his copy.

Had great fun on the Burnsy Show (BBC Radio Humberside) today.  He described my muse as "broodingly beautiful" I wonder if he would think the same if he saw Kitty in her onesie eating cheese on toast lol ;D

Less than 1 week to go to the VIP press party for the launch of The Yorkshire Photographers 1 exhibition at The Leeds Gallery, if you are invited looking forward to seeing you there.  It will be great to see you to have a good natter and drink.

Image Magazine, 24/Seven and Ten Foot City to follow :)

McGill says Hi to O-Ten!

23/9/2013

Look what i received in the post on Saturday from the actor, Richard Bradford, who played McGill in 'Man in a Suitcase'.  He kindly signed one of my photos to send it back to me, it will now take pride and place in my studio.  He said, in his typical Texan humour, that McGill would never use his suitcase as a foot rest lol, well that's me well and truly told by Mac! :D Although i have noticed him sitting on it in promo shots from the show ;)
To follow is the interview featuring my photos in The Hillman Imp Magazine, October/November issue.  I will be sending a copy of this magazine to Richard Bradford as he also mentioned in his letter how much he loves the shot of the Hillman in the photos too!
So due to the great feedback i have received worldwide, i will be doing a follow up shoot entitled 'Somebody loses...Somebody wins.'  If you know Man in a Suitcase then you will know the episode.  This is the episode where he wears the Italian Mohair Suit by Petrocelli, which i own.  He wears it when he goes to the theatre, looking dapper.
Onwards and upwards :D

I shot McGill!

15/8/2013

Yes i admit it, i shot McGill! Last Sunday 11th August i shot him in a pretty tranquil setting with the kind permission from City Life Now.  The evidence of this event has been captured using my Leica with a Carl Zeiss lens.  Here is a contact sheet of the story...
Picture
The story unfolds as McGill attempts to leave his love interest behind.  She isn't happy about his departure so tries to persuade him to stay.  He has so much love for her he doesn't want to hurt her but he knows that he must go as he doesn't want to betray his loyalty to his friend Max Stein who died in his arms.  She knows that this could happen to him, so throughout the photos you will see that she is trying every which way to stop him ending the same way.  If you have seen A Variation on a Million Bucks then you will know how this ends for McGill and what he is put through to keep his promise.

Also, no matter how painful this is for McGill, he lets her go to protect her so others do not give her the same fate as his friend.
So he is left with his car and his suitcase... the only way that he knows, but knowing that she is safe and he has kept his promise to his friend.

I would like to thank everybody who helped to make this all possible.  It is true that inspiration is only 1% and 99% is perspiration! 2 months in the making which was over seen by a very good friend Sharman Towers who runs the MIAS website, truly appreciate all Sharman's help and advice.

I truly hope that these photos will inspire you to watch Man in a Suitcase as this series has inspired films and TV shows for decades and i'm sure will do so for the foreseeable future. Tom Cruise was inspired by McGill's look when he made the film Collateral and i have noticed a few scenes from MIAS cropping up in films such as The Matrix 2?! Check out the episode Man from the Dead, there is a scene on a football pitch where McGill runs across it only to be confronted by all sides by Agents running towards him until McGill disappears under all these Agents... tell me i'm wrong?!

Would love to read your comments, please leave a comment or two would love to hear from you, especially if you are inspired to watch MIAS from my blogs and photo shoot.
More photos are available to see in the Man in a Suitcase Page, Facebook and Twitter.
