It's been a while since I have blogged, I'm not very good at this blogging lark lol.  

Just wanted to let you know about the Sky Arts TV show which was broadcasted in October/November over a 6 weeks period.  Rankin put out a request for all photographers to send him photos which you felt summed up 2020 and the overall mood, especially since this pandemic and the many lockdowns worldwide.  So I sent in a few photos.
Shortly after, I received a congratulations from Rankin's team saying that one of my photos had been chosen.  This is the chosen photo...

I sent this to Rankin as I feel it expresses the unnerving serenity of 2020, with the constant propaganda and governments giving you this constant fear, so you felt you could never sleep peacefully and slept with one eye open.  Always on your guard, even as you sleep. 
This shot was chosen and featured for the episode named 'Beauty'.  

There were 20,000 worldwide entries, which was whittled down to 224 photos for the TV show and the book.  The Rankin Book is now available from all book stores.  Profits from this book is going to various mental health charities.

An update as to what O-Ten has been doing recently.  Firstly the 40 year anniversary tour of the 1980s band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark saw MIG 15, an electro pop band from Liverpool, support the leg of their UK hits tour.  
I was asked by MIG's management to shoot a few promo shots of the boys while they were in the city of Hull, my hometown, on 28 October, so I was happy to oblige.  
As well as shooting OMD live, MIG 15's promo shots and live performance shots, I was assisted throughout the day by Imogen Bebb who has a website for her music journalism, so she interviewed the MIGs.  Here is a direct link to the interview which has been sent to their management. Hello and a Happy New Year to you!

This year sees the beginning of something quite spectacular for O-Ten Photography.  I have just realised that it has been nearly 10 years since I began O-Ten and what a ride it has been!  I have met many amazing people and introduced many to modelling who have gone on to do very well for themselves.  
Launching O-Ten officially in 2009 with the O-Ten Live event where many ventured in front of the camera for the very first time which gave them huge amounts of confidence to help them go for their dreams and goals in life.  I have always loved to help people find themselves and to them the confidence they need to be the person they want to be.
In 2010 I was approached by OMD to shoot their comeback album 'History Of Modern', they came to me twice that year and we created some amazing photos together which were presented in their album, live programmes and DVDs.  
I also put together an exhibition of these OMD photos where you could personally meet Andy McCluskey as he opened the event in person.  
To all the professional and new models who have come through my door, it has been fun to meet you and to create some amazing shots for you.  I always believe that I can get 'the' shot of anyone who gets in front of my camera.  
Now back to 2018 and the start begins with the shooting of another music video for She's Got Claws.  She is about to release her second album (War Torn) in March so is now putting together a mood board to promote this album.  The song is called Ceasefire and it is going to be shot on location.  I shot her promo photos in November 2017 and her album cover is one of my photos.  
Also last year OMD came back to me to shoot for their album The Punishment Of Luxury, so if you are a band or artist please get in touch so we can put some ideas together to create something spectacular for you too.

Here is the latest shoot for The Punishment of Luxury album (2017).  I used a combination of film noir lighting, projection and tribal style make-up to create a dark edgy and brooding look for the band.  Shot in April 2017. ​

I was asked by OMD to shoot their photos for their latest album 'Punishment of Luxury' which comes out on 1st September 2017.

It's been a while since I blogged, so thought I would do an update.

Recently I have spent some time in London doing shoots.  My favourite place to shoot in London was in Brick Lane as it is so alive with art and culture.   I have uploaded a few photos below.  There is also a shoot in my model's bathroom, Maddy Patterson, as she lives in London and also hosts a radio show every Thursday night on Boogaloo Radio.   Maddy asked me to host the show with her and it was so much fun playing our favourite songs and having a natter about photography and my recent photo shoot with 1980s band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), who have just completed a brand new album which is to be released in September, more press and photos to follow.

Here is the collaboration between O-Ten and Gucinari Shoes, reintroducing the classic high slip on ankle shoe as featured in the James Bond movie 'Thunderball'.
